How do I kill a single roach without using roach spray?

There is one in my dorm room as we speak on top of my ceiling and I have like no spray to kill it whatsoever. What should i do?!!!!!!

soap and water will kill any insect.  I mix 3-4 tablespoons of dish soap in a pint of water in a spray bottle.  You need to move quick with roaches, but a good soaking and it will be dead in a few minutes.  It also works on spiders.  They suffocate.

You realize that if you are seeing one in the light in your room, chances there are more.  You need to report it so they can spray the whole dorm.

There is no such thing as a single roach and you should tell the people that are in charge of maintaining the dorm.  They are responsible for exterminating for roaches.  You pay to live there I presume the least they can do is keep the roaches away.

for every one roach that you do see, theres always at least 10 more that you dont

so you should report this so they can take care of the problem

but for that one roach you should smash it!
