My 5 acres is infested with tiny black ants and getting worse every year. Their even coming up between my paver bricks and getting into my house. I think their sugar ants because where ever theres food, their all over it.

I need a major solution! Preferably a natural one.

  1. Well, I heard that if you sprinkle Cream of Wheat they are to eat it , but can't pass it. Good Luck!

  2. Gasoline works the best it will even make the queens move on to a new home.

  3. Just about any ant bait.

Its works slow- but it the safest and best thing to do. Don't worry about the whole 5 acres. Just use the baits at your home. Replace them about every 3-4 months.

  4. Ant bait and ant pellets will alleviate your problem.

I don't know of any natural remedies.

  5. go to home depot they have something for that

  6. They don't link mint;  try planting some of that.

Or locate the colonies and drench them with 2 ounces of orange oil to 1 gallon of water.

    Pour vinegar over the mounds.

Put dryer sheets around the house where they enter.

Put cinnamon around the base of the door and on window sills.

They don't like the herb, tansy, cayenne, cloves, cream of tartar, black pepper, chili powder

All natural - wishing you success!

  7. I was able to keep ants out of my house with a combination of cinnamon and cayenne. For outdoors, most garden centres sell ant killer that's nothing but powdered stone - as natural as you can get, and it works better than most strong man-made chemicals. It gives the ants fatal constipation.

By the way, dryer sheets are about as unnatural as can be imagined - they're full of petrochemical waxes and artificial perfumes (even the so-called unscented ones). Avoid them at all times if you want to stay natural.
