How do I know I'm buying the right kind of rewritable DVDs for my Toshiba DR-400?

The discs I have now are Maxell DVD+R, but what's weird is that they say DVD+R on the left side and RW in a square on the right. Are these rewritable and I didn't know it? Anyway, if someone could send me a link for a small pack of the right kind, I'd appreciate it... Is "editing" easy?

dvd-rw are rewritable but they wont play in most dvd players, theyre mostly for storing data. dvd+r will work fine, so will dvd-r

Your Toshiba can record on either DVD-RW or DVD+RW
