How do I know how old my turtle is?

I bought a turtle 4 days ago he is about 5 inches from head to tail and about 3 inches wide. because i dont know his age im not sure how much to feed him.

i used to have a turtle I'm gonna say yours is over a year there growth rate is very small un till they get up to about 8 in. from head to tale and by the way a turtle is a great pet and i'd consider using lettuce for food or reptomin-baby which you can find at your local petsmart or pet-co
