Question:

How do I know if I'm Ready to learn to jump on my snowboard?

I can heel turn and kind of toe turn but I'm not carving and my S turns dont always link.

  1. Just learn to ollie on the mountain. Then once you have that down go try a jump.


  2. if you feel like you want to jump/ if you have enough confidence go try it.. thats what i did..

  3. Learning to jump and hitting the park are two different things.

    I would suggest being able to link my turns before jumping, but thats because I'm a girl.  Most boys don't wait that long :p

    It you want to, find little bumps to hop off of.  This is the best way to learn to jump.  

    Do not go into the park though.  You aren't ready for that.

  4. if u want to jump off ramps u need to know how to carve cuz sometimes u mite have too much speed and u need to slow down. i would suggest learning carves first then trying jumps

  5. try ollieing first down a run

    itll help to know to get more air off jumps

  6. I started jumping my first hour on a snowboard.

    It was painful.
