My husband and I have been together for 10yrs (we are both 25, married for 2yrs out of the last 10yrs) and we have always always used preotection during intercourse. We have decided to start a family so of course we are now having unprotected s*x. The first day of my last period was 04th August and we started having unprotected s*x on 12th Aug. Not sure when I was ovulating so we have been having s*x every 2-3 days since. Since the first time we had unprotected s*x I have been having pains in my lower stomach that almost feels like I have done a bunch of sit ups and it's a muscle pain. I also have been feeling a little nauseous in the morning and goes away around lunch time then slightly comes back in the afternoon. Not a nauseous feeling that I feel I might throw up just an annoying nauseous. I am very anxious to know if we conceived, but am too impatient to wait and see if I miss my next period. Are there any other signs that I might be pregnant?

  1. The only way to know for sure is to wait until you miss your period and then take a pregnancy test.  You could be having early "symptoms", but many women experience those just because they want to believe so badly that they're pregnant that they actually feel pregnancy symptoms even though they aren't.

  2. There is no way to tell if you are pregnant until you mis your period.  But in the mean time you could use an opk to see if that comes back positive every day until your period is due.  the hcg of pregnancy is almost identical to the hormone detected by opks and they do come back positive when you are pregnant.  This might help you take your mind of the 2 week wait but you will still need to do a proper pregancy test to make sure.  And remember if you do test with an opk and it is negative you are going to experience all the dissppointment rather than anxiety right now instead of later.

  3. You are having anxiety symptoms, not pregnancy symptoms. You might be pregnant, I don't really know, you'll have to do a pregnancy test, but you should relax, and wait, there's really no hurry, it's been only 9 days, so there's no way those symptoms are from pregnancy. Just relax, or you're find it extremely difficult to get pregnant

  4. There are no definites other than a positive pregnancy test. Sorry but you will just have to wait and hope that your period doesn't come on. Once it's late, take a test. Good luck xx
