How do I know if I grind my teeth at night?

I wake up with my jaw hurting just about every morning. I'm not sure if I grind my teeth or not at night. Other than going to the dentist to find out, how would I be able to tell?

If you think you may be, they sell kits for that. It's basically a mouth guard that you place in boiling water to soften it, then bite down on it so it fits your mouth (only one I believe, not top and bottom). Then you wear that every night and if you grind your teeth you won't wear down your enamel.
