You already do, your born with them. test them out...Get objects, Personal objects, that belong to other people and touch them and focus on being really perceptive and let the information flow. A spirit guide is what we all have or Psychics have, they tell the psychics information..GUIDANCE.

If you had paranormal abilities, you'd know. And you'd also be the first person ever to have such abilities, as far as we know. But if you think you might have such powers, investigate and see if you can show these powers to yourself and others. If you can't, it's a pretty sure bet you don't have any paranormal powers. If you can, well, more power to you!

A spirit guide is the latest fashion in spiritual/paranormal belief, that's all. There is no way to show that they actually exist.

I graduated from college...but I don't know EVERYTHING!! (although SOME people expect me to..just because I went to college). Just because a person has some paranormal abilities doesn't mean they know EVERYTHING. I don't understand why this keeps getting thrown at them. A psychic doesn't know everything in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!! Only GOD  knows EVERYTHING IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. PLEASE quit wasting your words saying this to people with paranormal abilities. Just because you study science or are a scientist...we don't expect you to know EVERYTHING about SCIENCE.  Be FAIR !!Please!

You could start with some online psi tests (link below).

There are two main schools of thought on this subject.

The skeptical one that says no one anywhere under any circumstances has paranormal abilities so the answer there would be you don't and either does anyone else.

The other school of thought chosen by parapsychologist and other scientist that actually conduct research in this area is that Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) and Psychokinesis (PK) are normal ( even though not fully understood or explained) human abilities that are distributed in the population. In other words everyone has these abilities but just like everyone can learn to play a piano not everyone will rise to being the next Mozart different people will perform better at psychic abilities than others.

A spirit guide (link below) was a go between claimed by some early mediums (people communicating with the dead). Studies of the famous medium Eileen Garret who cooperated with scientist and ultimately founded the Parapsychology Foundation (link below) suggest that (at least in her case) that the spirit guide was a creation of part of her personality.

Other people regard spirit guides like guardian angels while others claim spirit guides from what are more properly called animal allies from Shamanic beliefs and practices.
