How do I know if I should go blonde?

Well I've had heavy blonde highlights, which I loved and they were cute but I really want to go completely blonde. I have a medium brown hair now and it's pretty natural. I don't know what color blonde to go though. Oh I'm Italian and dutch so I have kind of dark skin but not as dark as most. I think blonde would be so cute! Help with pictures?

It is important to know that blonde highlights will look COMPLETELY different to a fully blonde head. Your natural colour left in it with highlight will be toning it down dramatically, and if you go all blonde the change will be huge!!

The best thing to do is to do it in stages.

You have blonde highlights and they look good, so book an appointment with your hairdresser to have more put in and thicker.

Easing yourself into it is the best way as I can garentee that if you go all out it will shock you so much that you dont like it.

Doing it gradually will also help you decide which shade you like best. This is very important, as even the most subtle different shades of blonde make ALL the difference!

As you say you have dark skin, I would advise a warm honey or caramel blonde otherwise it will not match your skintone and you will look like a fool :)

I hope it turns out well! But remember.. once you start dying your hair, you either have to keep on dying it or live with your roots growing through for years! It is a big decision to make and not one to be made quickly or for a novelty!

it would be cute but make sure you do it professionally! cuz I'm dark brown and I went to blonde and it made my hair very orange-blonde it looks very fake. Good luck!

Well, I am a professional hairstylist, and have gone through the same thing. I actually LOOK better blonde, but have to have the right blonde color.   I am German/Swiss  and I have natural dark brown  hair and golden olive skin.   I have found the best look is to lighten your dark to a light brown and add  many golden highlights, especially on top around the face.

I tried the total bleach blonde look, and it didn't look very good.  If you have a lot  of color in your skin you need some depth and golden tones.
