How do I know if a strawberry has gone bad?

my strawberries are fuzzy after less than a week. does that mean it isn't edible?

if its just a little fuzz just take a knife and cut it off people i know do it all the time and we are all doing fine.a little mold never hurt anyone .

Fuzzy = moldy.  Throw 'em out.  Strawberries sometimes only last 3-4 days if you buy them really ripe.

Yuck, that fuzz is mold.you should definately not eat them

yuck, fuzzy is not good. Toss them or return them to the store if it's only been a couple days.

Next time, try cleaning your strawberries when you get home with them and freeze them. They won't be pretty when you thaw them out, but they'll taste great for smoothies and desserts.

That's mold. Don't eat it. Pitch it. Strawberries don't hold up very long.
