  1. Ask yourself wich one do you like better!!!!! make a coloum doing pros and cons for each one it helps!!!!

  2. There's no way to know for sure. You have to weigh the pros and cons of both, but make sure you have your information straight about both before making a decision.

High school is NOT a wonderful experience not matter how much you don't fit in. There are plenty of teens who complain constantly, who hate going to school, who skip school or who drop out completely because it is not a wonderful experience for them. It *is* a wonderful experience for many, but not for everybody. You don't actually need to be around other people your age; people didn't suffer for the thousands upon thousands of years before kids were sent to school. High school was not originally designed for a socializing purpose, although it's become that. The socializing that goes on is questionable. Most people who were homeschooled do NOT say they hated it. I'd love to see a statistic backing that up.

Homeschooling would be what you make of it. Literally. You and your parents get to choose the daily schedule, the content, the pace, the social outlets and more. But, like anything worthwhile, you have to work at it.

  3. I would not suggest homeschool to anyone. High school is a wonderful experience, no matter how much you dont fit in or how dramatic. You need to be around other people your age, it is healthy. If you have little or no interaction with people you become a hermit and life is harder. High school has many purposes besides the education aspect, but also the social aspect. You need to go to a public, private, or parochial high school so you can have that interaction. I dont think homeschool is right for anyone because most people that were homeschooled say that they hated it and wished they went the other way. There are many positives to non homeschooling and few positives to homeschooling. Say no to homeschooling, when you look back you'll be glad you did.

  4. Please don't listen to those people who tell you how socially challenged you will be if you home school. It is a all to common misconception. There are many opportunities for you to socialize as a home schooled kid, you can work( 15 with permit and older without), go to local school dances, play in local school sports, there are even groups for home schooled kids like you to hang out with or do activities with. That's just scratching the surface. So if socialization is one of the cons you are weighing, scratch that off the list.

  5. It's not right for everyone, and some people think it's right for no one, but that's not the case. Really, it depends on the situation. Don't look at your social life and think that just because you homeschool, you'll have none. Look instead at all the new oppurtunities for socialization that a regular school can't give you (people of ALL ages and backgrounds, who do all kinds of interesting things). You're not raised solely to associate with people of your age group, but rather given more of a chance to meet more people. Also, look at the options your state gives you. Here, we as homeschooled kids can't use the public schools employees (i.e. no going in for one class or p.e.), but we do have access to the recreation centres and such, we just have to find someone else to show us what to do. Also, are you willing to work hard and go out of your way to make friends with others your own age???
