  1. Most of the time, a legit site will have a TRUSTe sign on the bottom. TRUSTe is a non-profit organization whose goal is to establish trust between people and online organizations...basically if you see their stamp you can be sure that the site won't steal your money or private info. Sites such as eBay have been certified by TRUSTe.

  2. Sorry.there isn't have such products available.it;s all depends on your experience online.but you can check it;s populaity on google.

  3. load common_sense.exe

in seriousness, download firefox, its a far better browser, it has scam detection built in, and adblock plus makes it even better

  4. check it out at www.bbbonline.com - the Better Business Bureau's online company list/rating.

Look for the lock symbol at the bottom of the page when you intend to buy.  That means they are protecting your information. (The yahoo article says that can be faked.)

Type in the address and something like I hate www.x*x.com and see is anything comes up.

Go with sites that have regular stores or ones you recognize.  It might be worth the extra money to know you can return it to www.sears.com rather than some site you never heard of.

Never take up an offer that comes in email unless it is email you requested from a legitimate company.

AVG 8.0 (free) has a way to pick out problem sites on a google search as does McAfee Site Advisor.  http://www.siteadvisor.com/  You can go there and type in a website address or download the program free.  I have used site advisor and just reinstalled it.  It works on most search engines.  Try these because they are free and can be easily removed.

  5. PAYPAL ????

  6. There is no program to tell whether or not a site is real. When you buy things online, you risk being scammed. Only buy from reputable websites. If you are uncertain about a website that is selling something, do some research on the website. If someone has had a bad experience with the website, chances are it will be posted in an intenet forum.
