How do I know when my periods going to start?

I know you're supposed to check for discharge but I don't know what it looks like!

I'm 14 and it STILL hasn't started... help?

calm down, i know someone who didn't start till they were a freshman in high school. plus, you will know when your period comes because there will be blood in your undies. did your mom start late also? if u want a professional answer so u can sleep at night then go to ur doctor.

Don't worry when u start you will feel a gush and you will know it.  You will have it for the rest of your life let it come when it get's here!

seriously tho this is not something you need to be stressed out about... it will come when it does and thats just that... but you will know because there will be blood in your panties..

if you are truly paranoid about this then just make sure you always cary a pad with you just in case

If you are 14 and still havent gotten your period it's best to make an appointment with an ObGyn and see whats going on. I had mine when I was about 10 and a half. Unfortuntately.

You can't know for sure, cause every girl get's her period in a different age.

Lol trust me...my dad is a gynaecologist xD

and btw, the normal age range for girls to get their period is 10 - 16 so you got nothing to worry...YET :P

You'll get this weird cream pink discharge ( I know, gross, huh?) and then the next day you will get BAD cramps, so rush to the bathroom with a pad, cause you're gonna need it!
