How do I know if my Amp is bad?

I have a Kenwood Amp and everything was working fine, until I was removing the box and the wires coming off the amp to subs touched metal and sparked and I am guessing they grounded out. Ever since, the amp does not work. I have a Voltmeter. Is there any way to see if the amp is totally useless or if it is able to be fixed? Please provide a link with diagrams or detailed instructions. I have never used the Voltmeter, I just bought it.

  2. look for the fuse inside the amp, you've just blown that, or the one at the front of the car in your cars fuse box.

    you shouldn't need the voltmeter
