I came back to the sport I parked my car to find it was not there. I would have thought it was towed away but it was not an illegal packing neither do I have unpaid penalty tickets on my car because that's usually why cars are towed off. I thought it may have been stolen but there was no broken glass at the sport where I parked. I don't know what to think. I have report it as stolen to the police and my insurance company. What do you think?

  1. Check with the owner of the place to be sure they don't have an overzealous towing service.    If no signs,  they shouldn't have towed.

If no luck,   turn it in as stolen ASAP.   If it was improperly or illegally towed,   prosecute the tow operator for auto theft.

  2. Today's thieves can steel a vehicle without and signs of anything, just wait and see what the police come up with........

  3. call the local police for assistance on that one.

if the serial numbre  was put in a file on a tow list they can trace it. if not probably stolen. then call insurance.

  4. report it as stolen

  5. The police should be able to tell you if it was impounded or at least where you can call to find out.

  6. Get a HPI investigation done, youll have to pay, but it tells you any bad history the car may be carrying... I.E any accidents, colour changes, owners, and all the crucial elements that of if its still on finance. Do it online...

sorry, not read the question fully. just ignore me... lol

  7. there really isn't any definate way to tell between the two, unless of course you wan to hire a private detective. If you are really behind on your car payments, it may have been reposesed. If they wanted to steal a car they can with out breaking windows.

By the way if you leave your keys in you car and it is stolen, it might be considered insurance fraud.

  8. repo man strikes again

  9. You did the right thing by reporting to the police.
