I got a notice in the mail like 6 months ago saying my license was suspended for not paying my fine. Then yesterday I got pulled over and it came back clean. So is it suspended or not?

  1. Your state should have an online database that you can put in your driver's license number which would let you know if it is valid or not.

If not then you need to call your state DMV office and they will be able to tell you

  2. Go on your states RTA website.

  3. Contact your local DMV and ask them that question!

  4. If you did not pay the fine, yes it is.

The DMV computers may have been down.

  5. You can call your local DMV to find out this information.  You may have to go in person, but they will be able to tell you if your license is suspended or not and tell you why and how to fix this problem.

  6. Sometimes it takes a good deal of time for that all to register. What happens is way later you get pulled over and it is a driving on suspended. No small thing.

You have already gotten a letter so you know it will go through eventually. You know that you did not pay the fine so again it will go through eventually.

Go to the courthouse and pay it. Other wise.......a driving on suspended ticket. That will be a serious fine, a day in court plus court costs and all. They can tow your car when you get pulled over.... serious money. The points on your license for that charge will up your insurance for a very long time.
