How do I know if my male adult cat really is my kitten's father?

I recently got a kitten from our neighbor, they saw their cat and my cat mating and they think the kitten is my cat's offspring. So far the worst he really does it swipe at her for playing with his tail or sticking her face into his fur.

  1. you won't know for sure ,but do get both of them desexed asap.they will get used to each other .


  2. well, look for similar traits, like eye color, coat color, behavior, etc.

    or you can probably go on the kitty maury show

  3. If the kitten has the same color fur or if he/she looks like the supposed dad. That is normal if he smacks for touching his tail. He does not like at all.

  4. Won't ever know for sure, but it would be a good idea to get your older male neutered and get your new girl spayed.

    If they are father and daughter, if they bred, the kittens could have genetic problems, not to mention getting more kittens to deal with.
