How do I know if my screenplay is good?

I'm currently writing a drama, but I'm scared that it is just going to be another terrible screenplay trying to be something its not -- besides giving to someone else, what else can I do?

  1. I run my screenplays and plays with a audio test run. after I write the scenes out I storyboard it and act out the scenes. then me and my friends run the scenes, after i made fixes. It's just how my circle does it. other writers have other ways of working it out. My crew finds it simple, if we doubt our drafts then it isn't ready. when we feel it is ready we run and audio rehearsal so see if sounds right, then if it sounds good, we run it through our troupe to see if it looks good, plus it gives us data for corrections or we find things we missed during writing.

After, all that I submit, but if I was still doubting I take it to my writing professor or to my longtime friends who now directs plays and film...I don't know if thats cheating though, but my friends will be brutally honest with me, and give me critical interpretations. So we respect each other.
