  1. if you think that your eyesight is not as good as someone else's that has glasses/contacts.

  2. Both you and your friend stand same distance form a bill boar and try to see all word on it if you are same speed of reading you need not glass if your friend not use glass..

  3. You can't.

I've examined many, many people who thought they were fine, and were then astonished at how much more sharply, or comfortably, they could have been seeing.

    It's knowing the difference.

Like getting a really sharp knife, or driving a car with really good brakes...  Suddenly the standard of "OK"  can be drastically shifted.

There are clues that you might need glasses: for instance if looking through a 1mm pinhole held close to the eye improves the distance view appreciably (on shop lettering, roadsigns etc.).

  4. When you look at distant objects and found out that it is not so clear(blurry),it is most probably that  you may need glasses:)

  5. A good way to test yourself, would be to ask a friend/family member who you know doesn't need glasses, if they can read something far away, that is too blurred for you to read, or something close up, try this with 2 or 3 people with good vision, this is how I found out I needed glasses.

  6. You usally know you need them if you feel you have bad vision. But why not get your eyes tested?! That makes no sense. Some places do it for free. Find out your prescription like if its 1.00 .25 .50 then its good. If its like 3.25 4.00 3.50 then its bad. Those are just ex. thogh.
