Is there a chart somewhere? I'm ordering on-line so I can't try them on him either.

  1. Actually, it isn't recommended to put shoes on an infant's feet, it may deform them.

If they are actually starting to walk, there are soft shoes that are recommended by pediatricians out there.

  2. ive bought my daughter size 1. (shes5 months)that way she has some room.

she doesnt wear them all the time, like everyone has said basically just for fashion. she kicks them off eventually anyway. so all in all waste on money this early.

    but still OH SO CUTE!...

  3. this might be farthest from reality but i have always heard that it is 1/2 to 1 size per month.  i dont know though.  best way to figure it out is the next time you are in a store that sells shoes, try some on him just to get an idea.

  4. Soft shoes are best for that young, but if you want to dress them up a bit and go with hard shoes (we bought our 6 month old hiking shoes from gap), then you should be able to go by that scale:

Usually if the size is for under a year, it will go by months.  (example: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, etc) if it's measured like that, always go up one size.

As far as just the number sizes, I'm not sure.  I believe they start at 3, so I would go with that.  My Son is 19 months old and wears a 5, so as you can see, there's a lot of leeway for growth between sizes.  I found it very difficult to find shoes for my Son when he was an infant, because they don't really make that many cool infant shoes...

    Best of luck!

  5. My son was about that age whenever I first decided to buy a pair of shoes for him. You should get the soft soled ones. Also If he doesn't have another pair of shoes that you can try on I wouldn't advise buying them offline because usually babies about that age where an 1/2 my baby just jumped that size and went straight for a 3/4. No kidding lol. So all babies are different but if you don't want to get them offline i'd just get the 3/4 then at least if there big for him he'd have em for a little bit anyways. Good luck.

  6. she doesn't need shoes until she is walking outside unless you are trying to make a fashion statement...they suggest that baby go barefoot inside when learning and just started walking to improve their balance and strengthen the muscles in their feet.....

  7. They really don't need shoes at this age, and they aren't good for them. Just put socks on if it's cold. Or he can just put up with cold feet if he keeps pulling them off.

I assume you can find shoes at any kids clothing shop, but I've only bought shoes from op shops. I've never seen shoes small enough for a child your bub's age. Try the yuppy boutiques.
