I just want to be able to rent movies, and burn them to DVD. Is there anything special I need to do this?

  1. Look for one that has 2MBs of buffer memory and supports BURNProof Buffer Under Run Protection, to reduce the chance of write failures.

    Write speeds16x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RW at 8x and DVD-R Dual Layer at 4x.

You can buy  1Click DVD GOLD software for burning.

Or the Quick DVD Copy software. www.quickdvdcopy.net

  2. dude, if you just want to burn DVDs you rent (just like me, it's great trust me) you don't really need all this fancy HD stuff. you should only worry about that c**p if your planning to sell the copies of it.
