Question:

How do I know when I need glasses?

Okay, so, I think I need to get glasses. I'm not positive though. I know, I need to go to the eye doctor to be absolutely positive, but is there any way I can test myself? Sometimes, when my family is on a road trip or whatever, I'll see how far away I can be and still read the road signs. Usually, my parents can see farther than I can.

Thanks.

  1. wellll, look at something tht is moderately far away with writing on it.....can ya read it? if this doesn't work, sry!

  2. Mainly when stuff gets harder too read.  Stuff might get blurry for me it was when I started squinting to see stuff.  Do you squint?  Then you might need glasses.

  3. You need glasses when your visual needs are not being met.  You should get an eye exam.  At that time they will check you for glasses.  You can decide at that point if you see enough of a difference with the glasses prescription for you to buy glasses.

  4. if you Cant see E on the top of the chart well...otherwise see a doc every other year for an exam..can you read what i wrote..you passed...

  5. just go to a eye doctor unless you are one. if you dont and you nedd them your eyes will get worse and you ill get bad headaches

  6. You can try the tests at this site for near and distance vision.  If your parents can see further than you can, then may be nearsighted or have astigmatism.  You should still get a professional eye exam regardless of the results you get from this test.

My mom's natural distance vision is better than mine, but my near vision is better than hers.
