How do I know when the Cat wants to use the bathroom

It will start getting ancy and will start scratching the floor.

When they are digging and sniffing a area.

If you have a kitten it's good to have a litter box and show them several times where it is by setting them in it and walking away.

He/she will paw around (usually on something soft, like carpet, bedding, or clothing) and crouch.

Immediately take him/her to the litterbox. They will figure it out at that point.

If you already have a litter box, the cat will climb into the litter box and goes about his/her business. If you do not have a litter box and allow your cat to go to the bathroom in the outdoor, she/he will pee on your floor and p**p behind the couch.

The cat will usually find a quiet corner & start sniffing & paddling its paws in a digging motion then turn around once or twice to get comfy then crouch to do its business. When you see these signs quickly place the cat on the litter tray if not trained.
