How do I know where I'm supposed to block, as a left guard?

We do mostly runblocking. Do I simply push the guy in front of me to open a hole, or what?

every play book for every team is different. But i am guessing that you play at a low level of football since you are asking this on yahoo answers. And since I am guessing you play at a low level I am also assuming that as you said, simply push the guy in front of you to open the hole. But DO NOT depend on this answer and ASK your COACH!!
