Question:

How do I know which GPS Navigation System I want?

Someone told me that some GPS systems are crappy and you have to spend A LOT to get a good one. I do not need a fancy GPS with features I will not use, but I would like more information on what different models have to offer. That way I can decide for myself. I have been researching GPS systems, but I don't know what any of the features mean. What is the difference between turn by turn navigation and 3.6 million points of interest?

I want to spend as little as possible for a GPS system that can...

1. Say my directions out loud so that I dont have to look at it.

2. Tell me how many feet until I reach the next turn or something like that.

3. Have better directions than Goggle Maps because I always get lost using Google Maps.

Which systems can do this and which features can I look for in order to know whether a GPS system can do these things? Can someone who is knowlegable about GPS systems also tell me about other features I may be interested in and why.

I would appreciate any questions that can be answered and as much info as possible. I just cant tell that much about it by looking at the features of them.

  1. Garmin nuvi 260 is your right choice,it is very simple but also very good in details. It is not indash, but looks great on window, even very comfortable to see rather that look down on indash ones. No need to pay for installation, just unpack and plug in to car 12V output and mount it on the windshiled with a clip which comes with it. Good luck !!!
