How do I lay Atlas code 83 track?

  1. Code 83 is no different than any other flex track. There are small holes in the ties for track nails. You will have to trim off the over long ends with a rail nipper or a Dremel with a cutter wheel on it. I've used a staple gun sometimes too. Just make sure the nails don't stick up higher than the rails otherwise  you will have some unwanted damage to your rolling stock.

    Model railroading lasts a lifetime.


  2. Call ATLAS and ask to speak to R. Pisani @ their headquarters in Hillside, NJ.   Tell him Tangle-tongue sent you!   He knows more about #83 than anyone else in the world.

  3. Are you talking flex track?

    If so it is an art. Maybe the model railroader will have some help on its site.
