  1. well ask around, if your in the middle of nowhere there are bound to be farmers that have old farm bikes sitting in the shed that would be happy for you to take it off their hands. An old bike such as a yamaha dt 175 or similar would be perfect for starting. It wont take long and you will be spending all your hard earnt money on bikes....its like a curse ha :)

  2. no worries mate!

    just have confidence

if you can ride a bicycle you can ride any motorbike

  3. Some tips for after you get the basics down:

Looking 2 seconds ahead is key. When you're going around a corner, don't look at the ground in front of you, look as far into the corner as possible. Same for low speed maneuvers. If you're doing a figure 8 then your neck should be full turn left or right.

Always use a firm, progressive squeeze when doing emergency braking. Nothing harsh.

Never use the front brake when in a corner. Braking should be done prior to turn-in.

  4. If I were you, I'd buy a small engined bike, something like a 125cc. Then I'd see if I could find someone with a patch of land that would let you practice legally on. Once youve got the basics, I'd organise some tuition with a proper instructor. Above all enjoy yourself.

Thats the way I went about it.

  5. can you please tell me exactly where you live????

i can help you i too am in nsw

um well im in sydney sorry cant really help, you can go to the RTA and book your motocycle test and once you have done and passed, you will do the 2 day course to get your L's,

as for a bike a 250cc is a good start, i recommend a dirt/trail bike as they r cheap and reliable, check out the honda xr range and the yamaha wr range

I agree with the other guy on the DT models, check out around someones bound to have a spare bike they'l sell cheap. My mate got a dt 175 $400 it does nearly 80km/hr in 3rd gear theyr great country bikes

    cheers
