  1. I'm always being told to be more assertive. You must be a kind natured person and there is nothing wrong with that.  Assertiveness means you get your point across in a confident well meaning manner.  there are lots of courses and books on this but none seem to of worked with me although they were worth doing. In essence it is about Being self assured and therefore having confidence in ones own abilities.  Believe and trust in yourself and others will too, others see the trust and knowledge you have in yourself you just have to believe it as strongly as they belive in you.   I read a book and it helped me it was called who moved my cheese.

  2. Stand your man and show who's the boss...

  3. A person is assertive when he has confidence in himself, in what he says and in what he does.  I guess like me, you may be shy, meek and unsure of yourself.  There are times when I just jump into the situation and think: "so what if I make a mistake? not all people are perfect".  Sometimes this helps...but if you want the structured way of gaining confidence, there are self-help books that you can buy and you can enrol in those personality development workshops.

    Good luck

  4. i think there are actually classes which teach that, try googling it in your area

  5. You can check your local library or bookstore in the self help section.
