How do I let others know about my group without having to put links on other groups?

I would like to let people know about my group but I am not exactly how to get it listed under yahoo groups or whatever else I need to do to let people know about it.

Make a 360 blog & add link there.

Tell your friends.

make a Myspace & advertise it there.

Theres also a group called,

thisgroupisforyou ( alloys you adding to links only)

But not discussing it or asking, most people checks the links in this group from time to time, its called, thisgroupisforyou   ( all small letters) good luck.

Make sure your group is listed in the Yahoo Groups Directory so it can be found in a groups search. If it's not this is how to change it.

Sign in to the group.

Click Management.

Under Group Settings, click "Description & Appearance.

On the next page, To the right of Description, Click Edit.

Scroll down to "Listing Type" near bottom of page.

Select "Listed in Yahoo! Groups Directory".

Click Save Changes.

(If your group is "Closed" where members are accepted by invitation only, you cannot make the above change)

There are Yahoo groups designed specifically for owners to promote their groups. Here is a link to one that I know is very good and has thousands of members. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Group...

Our group got a lot of new members by promoting our groups there.

unless you select private or something along that line. your group will be automatically listed under the classification of your choice.  When someone searches Yahoo groups for a group of  similiar interest they should find yours.  You can also use the invite  button on the left side of your cover page to invite people you know who may be interested.  You could also contact other sites not just yahoo groups and offer to reciprocate if they put you on  their links page.
