Question:

How do I line a cable against the edges of walls?

To connect to XBOX LIVE, I've decided to get a 50ft. long ethernet cord, and attatch the XBOX 360 directly to my Wireless Adapter, which is a room and a hallway away. Once I connect the ethernet cable, leaving the cable on the floor is not an option. I have a couple of walls and an overhang that all connects the two rooms, so I want to somehow line the cable across the walls. What is an easy, effective, and quick method to do this? Thanks in advance.

  1. Cable staples should help you out they are cheap good luck

  2. Maybe this is a dumb question, but doesn't the Xbox also support a wireless adapter? Seems like a lot less trouble.

You could also drill a hole through the wall... but maybe your landlord might object.

Wire staples, the kind they use on telephone cord, would do the job. Radio Shack or any hardware store would have them.

I think 3M also makes some removable stick-down pads for securing cable. Hardware store again.

  3. cable staples(u shaped nails), tape , track made for cables at lowes, push pins(one above the cable and one below to hold in place),velcro straps and the list goes on

  4. You can try the plastic stickup hooks on the wall then put your cords on them.

  5. I run my intenet cable around 2 dooways and against wall with small u-shaped nails. You can't really see it.

  6. wire mold they sell it at most home improvement stores
