How do I load the EASYSHOT stapler?

I don't get this piece of junk. I popped them in the front, seemingly the ONLY logical way you can load it. But the gun just wont shoot the freaking staple.

I think there is a lever which has an arrow below the gun.  You pull the lever away from you or the direction of the arrow.

This should work
