  1. Go to the Start Menu, go to Run, type in "regedit"  Then from there go to the File menu, and click "Connect Network Registry."  Type in the IP or NetBIOS name, you're set.

  2. It is simple, you either need to have access to the files of the other computer, or go to the other computer and open My Computer. After that, you need to go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\config NOTE: Windows XP hides the System32 directory. After this, you will find about 15 files. The registry is stored in 5 files, called: default, SAM, SECURITY, software and system. copy these files into the shared documents. then load regedit by pressing Win + R and typing regedit.exe You then click the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE area, go to File, and select Load Hive, and select the files that you just copied from the remote machine. NOTE: This is a way to get the registry to read. If you want to write to the registry, then you need to simple put the files back into the folder they came from, overwriting the old files.

  3. start -> run -> regedit
