The more you try to fit in with other people's culture, the more you look like a tourist.  Seriously, Florida has the stereotype of wearing flowers on the shirts and khaki shorts.  It's not the locals but the tourists that do this stuff.  Just wear what you normally would and be comfortable.  I really don't think you want to wear long dresses with scarfs and veils.

Tourist will look tourist no matter what they try . LOL !! But you could dye your hair black, wear a bindi and salwar kameez, or a long skirt, tshirt and a few bangles to kind of blend in.

I think foreigners in India who dress Indian look d**n cute. :-)

Its like no matter how American i dress , people in the U.S though i was Hispanic or a Latino. LOL !!

Indian culture is very traditional and has one of the most unique cultures amongst all other countries in the world. Just wear sarees, nice gold earrings and gold bangles(no wrist-watches), and you'll look like a typical Indian Woman. You can also have bindis(a small sticker on your forehead, between two eyebrows)..... We're very proud of you in saying that you like Indian Culture. Thanks....
