How do I look up a reverse 888 telephone Number with out paying for the phony ads on the Internet?

I am looking for the person who did some work at my home but I only have an 888 telephone number, how can I do a reverse number search. I have paid $15.00 to a Search site on the interned, they only came up with a first name ( which I supplied them) but no other infor

You can't. You can, however, track back through the check you used to pay them. Call the number up and book their service again.

Try www.anywho.com, click the reverse lookup tab. But I wouldn't get my hopes up. (Didn't find my own number.) Also, try just typing the phone number into Google -- whoops! I mean Yahoo! Search. Try different permutations, like

[phone]

888-555-1212

8885551212

Again, don't get your hopes up.

Another idea... call the number yourself?
