How do I maintain a hairstyle? ?

I'm a guy and I recently got a short haircut, but the style I'm looking for is something like this.

I figured it would take a few weeks to get that long and then I can style it the way he has it, but when I get my haircuts, what do I tell my barber, so my hair isn't any shorter than that each time he cuts it?

Just let him know to only give a TRIM and let him know what your tryin gto achieve! Then tell him to trim it to where NOONE can even tell you got a trim...just enough to get the split ends off!
