I want to make a cd/dvd which boots up an operating system but one with only a single piece of software for example a game. I know it is possible as I have used the Acronis True Image boot cd which does what I am after. How do you make one of these and how easy is it to make one?

  1. You need a bootable system on the cd/dvd, and your burning software needs to support making bootable discs (to mark them correctly).  If you want to play a game, then you'll need drivers too.

Acronis works because it's a linux operating system and has a lot of drivers.

Since you're asking basic questions, I would say that you don't have the knowledge about operating systems or your game to create a disc that will boot it up.  You could do some web research, but I suspect that your game has enough operating system requirements to make it difficult to create a disc just to play it.

  2. if you have ulead or nero there is an option to create a bootable cd within

or you can download system files from bootdisk.com and burn to cd/dvd
