Question:

How do I make a bracelet for my girlfriend?

I want to make my girlfriend a bracelet, but one problem, I have no idea what I am doing.

I was thinking maybe a leather strap or something, but like I said, I have no idea what I'm doing.

And should it have a metal clasp, or just tie it together?

Ideas, suggestions, how-to guides, anything.

Thanks. =)

  1. You can get some string, some noodles and some paint.

    or....

You can use the leatherstrap and get some shells, with enough hole to lace with the strap.

  2. if you have a walmart in your area they have kits

or any good crafts store, ac moore

    michaels,rag shop

  3. make a nice chainlink lanyard with her two favorite colors

  4. Go to Michael's and they have a Leather kit Bracelet (2) and a lugage tag  for only $ 5.00 . Ask for the Knack Project kit ;)))

  5. You can actually buy stretchy plastic string and beads from a craft shop.  Just string enough beads on that it will fit her wrist and tie the ends of the string together.  Make sure to cut the string a lot longer than you think you'll need so you can tie it easily later.  You can always cut off the excess.

  6. it will be nice to give her like a secret message, like this: you use those bead that al like little lines and those that are round ans according to morse code you can use them to write a message special for her

  7. Name: Butterfly Bracelet

    Supplies:

    1 - 8mm aqua butterflies

    2 – 8mm jonquil butterflies

    2 – 8mm crystal butterflies

    2 – 8mm light rose butterflies

    1 – 6mm sterling jump ring

    1 – 4mm jump ring

    1 – 5mm sterling spring ring clasp

    7 – ball-style sterling head pins

    Wire cutters

    Round-nosed pliers

    Flat-nosed pliers

    Instructions:

    1. Start by adding a jump ring to one end of the chain and a jump ring and spring ring clasp to the other end of the chain.

    2. Next, start preparing your butterfly dangles. Add a butterfly bead to a head pin.

    3. Use flat-nosed pliers to bend the head pin.

    4. Hold the bent area of the head pin with round-nosed pliers, and use your fingers (or flat-nosed pliers) to wrap the head pin around the nose of the pliers.

    5. Use wire cutters to trim off excess head pin, and repeat the above step for all of the butterfly beads.

    6. Now, start adding your butterfly dangles to the first long link on the chain. Skip a long link, and add another dangle to the next long link, and continue this until you have all 7 dangles on the chain. It’s up to you how you’d like to arrange your colors, but I did mine as follows: light rose, crystal, jonquil, aqua, light rose, crystal, and jonquil.

  8. If you can get to a craft store, Michael's or A.C. Moore, they have a whole section of jewelry making supplies including kits and instructions.  They have some really nice things and some of them are very reasonably priced.  I think your girlfriend would love it.
