Does anyone know a process or a free program that I can use to make a copy of a DVD I bought. It's for my personal use. I am not going to re-distribute it. I'm just bad with taking care of DVDs and I don't want it to get scratched so I'm making a copy. Can anyone help me?

  1. usually your computer may have a program, or the most common is the windows media player. search your computer, or else you can download Nero.

  2. Do you have a dvd burner? If so are you running Windows? Most of the time your OS comes with the software you need. If you need a program I would suggest you go to http://www.download.com/ and search dvd burner and change the license to free so that it will only show you the free software.

    Hope that helps.

  3. i would use dvd shrink to get the iso file and then bring the iso file in DVD Decrypter to burn on to a blank disk

  8. Most movie DVDs has copyright protection, if you want to copy it to your hard drive, you must decrypt the copyright protection. Otherwise, Although you can copy the *.vob files to your  hard drive, but most media players cann't play it.

       So my friends recommend me to use "E.M. Free DVD Copy"  to copy DVD moives. I found the video quality that be copied is excellent. If your DVD moive size larger than 4.7G, you can compress DVD to suitable size.

    In addtion to, the  latest version add some usefule funtions like rip DVD to other popular formats, such as h264, Xvid, MOV, VOB, Mpeg, Mpeg4, Mpeg TS, AVI, WMV. so you can conveniently watch DVD movies on iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune, etc.  portable players .

    free use without limiting;

    if you want to try it , you can get it from:

  9. you can try DVD Shrink its a free program and it will decrypt the movie however its not the greatest program out there but it may work. If it cant burn the movie then it can at least rip it to your hard drive and then you will need to purchase a dvd burning software such as DVD Fab or One Click DVD.

    Give Shrink a try and see
