How do I make a photo B&W with only one thing colored with adobe photoshop?

I just got adobe photoshop and I don't know how to make my pictures B&W with only one thing colored. How do I do that? Also, how can I make wedding invitations too?

an easy way is to select the part you want in color, copy it, make the rest in black and white then paste the old color part

Duplicate the layer. Use the pen tool to 'cut out' the part you want colored (or the other way around, which ever is easier). Cut out the part that you don't want colored. Then, your done. Try researching Photoshop tutorials.

   1. Duplicate Layer

   2. Change Layer to Black & White

   3.  Use the eraser tool and, on the duplicated layer, erase the area you want in color
