How do I make a resturant menu using photoshop? What is the process of making a finished resturant menu starting off design in photoshop?

I think Adobe Illustrator would be a better choice for making a menu.

The most important is the how Much you know Photoshop. And if you Illustrator, then how much you are familiar with it.

Note:-

Only useful if you are familiar with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

PS=Photoshop

AI=Adobe Illustrator

- If you want the background of Menu to be White then it’s better to Use AI if you really need any graphics in Menu then PS is a good option.

-Design the Background in PS and for the table, draw the table in AI  and copy it from there and then paste it in PS.

-Regarding the text you can draw the box first in the table which pasted from AI and write the text and set the font size, leading, scaling etc. if the you want to place the text in different position its better to use different layer to text. I hope you understand.

Most print work is designed in a vector program such as Illustrator.  This is the most effective and least difficult way to design.  A printer would prefer work done in Illustrator.  Photoshop can be difficult to work with when it comes to placing text and shapes, especially when it comes to color.  If you like, I can design a menu for you in Illustrator for free.  I need the practice, as I have been spending a lot of time working in Flash, and haven't really been keeping up my designs.  If you'll send me a list of desired layout preferences, such as color scheme, fonts, the menu text, photos, etc., I will send you a preliminary design.  You can have me revise it until you like it.  We will talk more if you want to contact me.

There really aren't any sites specifically for designing menus in photoshop, but there are some design suggestions for menus and you can find tutorials on different effects easily through searching on google.  Again, I stress that the final product will be much more effective when done in vector format, so as to maximize the detail.
