I'm a highschool graduate going into university but I have no experience. Well, the only thing I can put is my volunteer experience at a homeless shelter from YEARS ago! So how do I go about making a decent resume that doesn't look too empty?

  1. I used this resume writing service in my area, this is the email address, (resume.help50@yahoo.com) you should try them, it only cost me $35.00 and I got a great job from this new resume, I never thought about the format that they use but the turn around time was less then 24 hrs.  I would have to say it was the best service I have ever used and it was worth every dime.  Also they let me pay through paypal.

  2. See some sample resumes and build your own based on that.

  3. Whatever experience you have, list it (don't be embarrassed if it's from years ago). Make sure you document what you did, and play up the positive aspects.

Were you part of any groups in high school (bands, sports or other activities) and if so, coordinate any of their activities? List that as well - Responsibilities you held, whether they were for employment reasons, volunteer reasons, or enjoyment reasons look good.

Any seasonal or regular work that you've done for neighbors? family? You may want to list that also.

If all else fails, consider looking for more volunteer opportunities in the afternoon, after classes. 3 months of work, and you may find your resume looking alot more fuller and attractive.

    Good Luck
