I'm trying to write a will that states that only one of my two daughters will receive all of my property.

How can I write a simple version of that for my will?

  1. First, you are in the area of answers for INSURANCE.  Why not re-post this question in LAW & ETHICS, please.   Those people can provide even better answers.

    Second, Charles is correct.

You can also go online.  Many wills are very easy.  But have your will checked over by an attorney in your state.

For example, you could have a holographic wil (all words written by hand).  If you  have something on the page that is not handwritten (such as a stampted date), the will can be thrown out.  Consult an attorney.

My site, www.EndlessLegacy.US provides more information.  But be careful  -  my services are not free (except on the site).

  2. Quite simply, you can write I give all my worldly possessions to my daughter _________ (insert name here)

You should be able to get a legal will kit from the bookstore for about $10 to handle the legalease from your state.
