How do I make a simple 5% sugar solution?

I need to make a 5% sugar solution to feed butterflies coming out of chrysalis in my daughters butterfly garden. I found a technical answer, but do not have the ability to measure grams and such. I just need a simple sugar water. Thank you for any help you can give.

  1. One gram of sugar is approx. 1/4 teaspoon.
