How do I make a walrus costume?

My daughter needs a walrus costume for a living zoo exhibit the kindrgarten class is doing. It can't be a purchased costume it has to be homemade with limited purchases. She's a little upset because....well a walrus is ugly. My wife and I are trying to come up with something cute, but we are stuck.

I don't know how you make a walrus cute.

But to make a walrus, I would buy a gray sweat suit with a hoodie.

You could use white tube socks for the tusks, just stuff them with whatever.

To make flippers, I would buy some felt and cut out flipppers and pin them to the sleeves of the sweat suit.

Maybe you could add a bow?  Or use glitter?
