  1. There's an easy way - the idea behind it is simple: refract light around you. In fact, a true "invisibility cloak" would render the wearer invisible to all forms of EM radiation (infrared, UV, visible light, microwaves, X-rays, etc) so that there would be no way to detect them. Currently, we have only created a device to refract microwaves (literally with a wavelength of 3cm). To make a "cloak", you would need to have the ability to refract all forms of visible light (with wavelengths ranging from 400 - 750 nm). Good luck.

The idea of a "cloak" is only possible in the world of Harry Potter. Such a device would not be flexible nor would it be small enough to be practical - at least not in our lifetime.

Also, true invisibility is an insane idea. If you were truly invisible YOU would also not be able to see anything, since sight is an interpretation of the reflection of visible light off objects. If you were invisible, this light would not reach your retinas, and therefore not only would people not be able to see you, but you won't be able to see them either.

In short, the making of a device to render something truly invisible is stupid.

  2. yea, I've seen those before, pretty sweet,  just try the same thing with a regular projector, anything that you do for cheap(or basically that can be done) wont be professional, more or less will be an "oooo" affect

or you could strap a couple a 20 in plasma's like a sandwich board and tape web cams to the tops, and then link them to each other (but that's not cheap is it)

so in all i dont think there is a cheap solution

  3. there is no cheaper way. the only way that would kind of work is the thing with the cameras and display on the other sides. but obviously that wouldnt even work well because the brighness would have to be just right as well as the clarity and shading.  you would still ahve a shadow!!! that would cause some problems.

    ask jk rowling.
