I have 13 employees. They need 40 hours each per week. I have 3 shifts per day. I need 2 workers per shift on Sundays and 3 workers per shift Monday thru Saturday. I would prefer 10 hour shifts but could do 8 hour shifts or a combination of 8 and 10 hour shifts.

  2. You can meet your requirements by scheduling 5 employees for 4 x 10hours per week, and have the remaining 8 employees working 5 x 8hours/week.

That will give you 20 work-shifts that are 10 hours long (perhaps 2 on Sunday and 3 on every other day, in other words, one 10-hour shift each day) and the remaining shifts will be 8-hours.

There is no way to combine 8 and 10 hour shifts for one employee, unless you go to a two-week/80-hour rotation.

  3. you can give 12 of your employees  40 hours to cover all your shifts but that leaves  you 1 emp. without any hours. you can email me if you want the sheet and you can work with it untill you get it how you'd like it.   melissa022@rocketmail.com
