How do I make corn soup the Kerala way?

When we go to Kerala (India) and eat the corn soup in the hotels, it is soooo good. The broth is clear and has crunchy corn pieces in it. I have tried to find this recipe on net, but maybe my preparation is faulty. Anyone can guide me? Thanks.

This soup is actually not Keralan in nature, but Indian (Desi) Chinese!  It's called Sweet Corn Chicken Soup or the veg version is Sweet Corn Velvet Soup:
