How do I make french toast?

I want to make 2 slices of french toast. What am I supposed to do?

  1. heat griddle over medium flame (5 on an electric stove).  In a bowl, beat one or two eggs...add some milk if you'd like.  Dip one slice of bread into the egg covering both sides.  Place on griddle and repeat with second slice of bread.  When bread is firm and golden brown, flip and continue cooking until done.  Top with butter and your favorite syrup.  scramble up any remaining egg in the bowl and serve alongside the toast.  Yum!


  2. beat one egg and put some milk in it like you would in scrambled eggs then you can put in some vanilla extract or skip it w/e, then dip the bread yopu want in the mix, then butter a hot frying pan ( about medium heat) and put the bread on it flip after the one side is a nice brown color, after its cooked some people put powdered sugar on it put i like plain old maple syrup ,ummmm...

  3. The way my dad makes french toast is good. Stack the two slices of bread and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Dump them into a bowl where you've beat an egg or two and stir them around a little to coat them. Then, pour all of that into a greased pan (butter or pam) and stir it around while it cooks. You're left with bite-sized french toast and some scrambled eggs. Top with some powdered sugar, a little cinnamon, and eat with syrup.

    I stay away from adding milk to the mix. It doesn't cook well and just makes the bread soggy.

  4. Mix an egg is a bowl. Dunk both sides of the bread in the egg. Put it on a griddle, once one side starts getting golden brown, flip it. Once it's done but butter on it, syrup and cinnamon.

  5. Beat 1 egg, add 1/4 cup milk, dash of salt, spoon of sugar, vanilla & cinnamon is optional but just a drop!. Stale bread is the best or french bread, thicker is better too, maybe Texas toast but regular will do too. Soak the bread in the mix thin will not take as long to absorb. Then let the excess drip off, put in a skillet with med hot oil just to cover the bottom, cook on med high till brown. The sugar is what makes it brown and crunch, drain on towel, sprinkle with powdered sugar, I take syrup with mine but with the sugar it will be little sweet already.

  7. i have always made my french toast with 1 egg 1/4 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon stir well then put a slice of bread in it on both sides then in a frying pan.  

  8. For just two slices, beat an egg in a bowl and then add some milk.  I add cinnamon to mine, and then dunk the bread on both sides.  Cook in a skillet and then serve with whatever you want on top.  I prefer syrup on mine.  Yum!  I might make that for breakfast tomorrow!
