How do I make money fast?

Question

I'm a 14 year old who is trying to become a model. I have already saved up a lot of money from birthday gifts (grandma), allowance, etc. Now, my parents say I need to earn the rest (about $400). What should I do? (Note: my parents don't really have any friends who I could babysit children for)...

Participate in some competition/reality show etc.

Put signs up or make an ad in the newspaper for baby sitting or even dog walking I'm 13 and that's what i did...it pays quite good money. Or do more jobs around the house and get paid for that....OR you can go round you family and friends houses and wash their cars for money.Or again you could even get a job as a papergirl(I'm guessing your a girl...sorry if I'm wrong).

Babysitting is always a good job, families usually offer to pay a rate that is higher than minimum wage these days, and it's much easier and more fun.  Sign up on sitercity.com or check craigslist for local babysitting jobs.

get a education first, then follow this dream to it's end.  But without your education you will be like a pro ball play that talks like a 8 year old kid when your 30 and your body is all you have.

don't waste your brain, us it, and try contest, or essay questions in some of books women read and win a free something and learn nothing is free, but your time you spend looking and following your dreams.

I would always hesitate before trying anything on the internet: if making money was so easy why wouldn't everyone you know be doing it? Alot of these survey things either pay really bad money or take a lot of time to make a lot of money.

My advice is to do the following:

If you get an allowance, start saving that! You don't have to save all of it, but you could definitely put some away and still be able to spend some on yourself.

You could also do things around the neighbourhood: do you know anyone who needs their gardens taken care of, their lawns mowed, their weeds killed? What if you offered to organize garages? Wash cars? Walk dogs? Babysit?

The trick is to find out what people need and see if you can help them out. That way you will be providing a service to them and they will be paying you for it. For example: do you know any elderly people who may want to pay you to carry groceries from the store for them?

The possibilities are endless.

The trick is to start earning little bits of money and to start saving them.

Again, I really really wouldn't try the internet for this. I think you'd be better off putting in some good old fashioned elbow grease!

Ps. As a former aspiring actress, you should really really look into the modelling company before you commit to them: the old adage with actors is that you should NEVER have to pay someone up front for work, headshots, whatever, and I am fairly certain it's going to be the same for modelling. If this is really what you want, you have to make sure you won't get scammed. Try talking to other models, try finding out f there;s a union you could speak to for tips.

I'd really really hesitate before handing over ANY MONEY. ANY.
