  1. Take less strokes.

  2. Practice all of the shots from 100 yards in.  These make up at least 60% of the shots in golf, and you can change your scores without beating up your body.

  3. GIR's

  4. practice lol

  5. Make fewer bogies and others.

  6. If you are a good player all around, you shouldn't have a problem.

If that's not the case, your iron and short games are the keys to success. Once you get those down, you should be on your way to making lower scores.

  7. Too little info, so here goes...

1 - put from shorter distances by:

2 - getting the ball on the green in fewer strokes by:

3 - hitting approach shots from within 100y by:

    4 - avoiding hazards by

4 - hitting the drive or second shot straight (in the fairway)

Seems simple, but in reality it is not.

So, if you don't mind, clarify the question so that we might be able to help.

  8. take some lessons from the local pro.

spend more time at the practice green.

buy a pull cart for your clubs and walk.

play 2 or 3 times a week instead of 1.

only drink (alcohol )after your done playing, not b4 or during.

buy 2 new pairs of golf shoes and alternate wearing them.

  9. 1.  Find the fairway off the tee - use an iron if needed.

    2.  Aim at the center of the green.

    3.  Practice, practice, and then practice some more on your short game.   To score well, you have to putt and chip very well.

  10. its to long of a list man!

  11. Hit more greens in regulation and make more putts.

  12. Practice, practice, practice. Is it that tough to figure out.Or you could just believe all the golf club and golf ball advertising and just keep buying new equipment. You could turn pro without ever having to swing a club.

  13. Capitalize on your situations by getting more Birdie chances on par 5s and Short par 4 fours. On long pars hit the fairway

practice your chipping and never 3 putt this will help a ton good luck!

  14. start hitting your drives where your chiping for your 2nd shot on par 4's

um i made a birdie on a par 5. topped my tee shot about 50 yards, hooked a driver off the ground for the 2nd into the edge of the woods....took a drop wind in my face hitting 4 185 out 5 iron,  in the hole. the sun was behind the green so i didnt know it went in. went lookin around the rough behind the green but i thought i hit it perfect then looked in the hole..best birdie ever. but i was still mad. i had hit a 2nd shot on the same hole the week prior with a 7 iron about 2 inchs shy of double eagle. and i knew that the 5 iron should have been. :(

  15. First you must work on your short game(shots from 100 yards and in plus chipping and putting).  I am never concerned after hitting a poor tee shot as many times I have saved par due to having a good short game.  I've chipped in for birdie or par several times.  To make more birdies, it would help to hit more greens in regulation.  It almost ensures par.  Work on lag putting as well(putting from long range to within 2 or 3 feet).

  16. Drive for show and putt for dough. A cliche, but very true. Practicing those shots within 100 yards and especially chipping and putting will help lower scores dramatically. The other big key is to just get out there and play. The more you swing, the more you can train yourself to get consistent. Chipping is probably the biggest key though. Chip within a couple feet and you can make those par putts every time.
